Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw

project description

Warsaw is a city of undefined spaces left by/after the war. The Museum was supposed to become an organizing element for a derelict park making it work as an live extension of the built. The space would be defined by a sponge-alike line of shreds.

Various, live functions are oriented towards the outside to keep away the fuzziness of normal life and creating a hidden, monumental space for the lobby. The lobby and the underground exposition would be linked via an sculptural, rotating elevator. The terrace of the rooftop would be a space for open-air events.
