In the picturesque Borgo San Lazzaro in Rome, facing the XII century church of San Lazzaro in Borgo, we completed a micro renovation of a former cloister complex room the size of 27 m2. The complex nowadays hosts small offices and flats. The task was to keep two rooms, to bring the natural light all over the flat and to exploit every single centimetre creating storage space where possible. The complex rooms are served by a gallery system when it comes to horizontal distribution, the Silvia's one is located at the ground floor allowing her to enjoy the outdoor space just outside of her door in the already favourable italian climate conditions. On the other side the apartment lays instead on the first floor due to the difference in levels between the old and the new path of via Trionfale.
